Mohali-born renowned artist Kuku Diwan, who has performed in over 25 roles across web series, plays, music albums, and TV films, is now set to grace television audiences with his acting. He will be seen in Star Plus’s upcoming Hindi serial ‘Sampoorna’, playing the pivotal role of Sukhdev Malhotra, the father of the hero. The serial will premiere on September 8, airing at 7:30 pm.
Adding star power to the launch, Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood will release the teaser of ‘Sampoorna’. The show is a Hindi remake of the popular Bengali web series Noshtoneer, which has already created a buzz among viewers.
Theatre artist Sanjeevan Singh said that Kuku’s journey began nearly four and a half decades ago when, as a child, he performed a significant role in Ram Leela. He never looked back, eventually rising to the position of Ram Leela director. Through Sarghi Kala Kendra, he also entered Punjabi theatre, debuting with a minor role in the play ‘Dain’.
Kuku’s cinematic career spans a wide range of Punjabi films, including Jersey (2022), Ik Sandhu Hunda Si (2020), Guest Unwanted (2022), Mitti: Virasat Babbaran Di (2019), Gurmukh: The Eyewitness (2025), Jeonde Jee (2024), Kanjoos Majnu Kharchili Laila (2023), Tank Cleaner (2021), Ardab Mutiyaran (2019), and Jind Jaan (2019). He has also left his mark in Punjabi TV serials with his versatile performances.
Through relentless dedication, hard work, and passion, Kuku has carved a unique identity in Punjabi theatre and cinema. Now, with Star Plus as his stage, he is set to reach audiences across the country.
