Sabrang and Aneesh enter semis

Sabrang Sandal,Aneesh Goel and Nikhil Sandhu were on course for a grand double in the Anee's Tandem Tennis Tournament in boys'/girls' Under-10,12,14 and 16 age categories held at Anee's School,Sector 69,on Monday.

Sabrang Sandal,Aneesh Goel and Nikhil Sandhu were on course for a grand double in the Anee’s Tandem Tennis Tournament in boys’/girls’ Under-10,12,14 and 16 age categories held at Anee’s School,Sector 69,on Monday.

Sabrang blanked Utkarsh 6-1 in the boys’ Under-12 category and then he routed Kashish 6-2 in the Under-14 category to record victories and entered semi-finals in both the categories. Similarly,Nikhil Sandhu defeated Ayush Verma 6-2 in the Under-14 category which he followed up with 6-2 thrashing of Ankush Nagpal in U-16 to move into the semi-finals.

The others to register wins in Under-12 category were Hritik Abrol,Sumer Sandhu,K Aditya and Maheep as they justified their seedings by registering easy wins. In the Under-14 category,Sachit Malhotra was the other seeded player to record win by defeating his rival. Similarly,in boys Under-16 category, Prabhsimran Bal downplayed Manjot Singh of Punjab 6-4,while Aneesh Goel of Chandigarh overcame Shivang 6-2.
