If his turn on last years MTV Unplugged armed with an accordion, conducting a troupe of musicians, and crooning imaginative versions of his film numbers elevated the show to another level, the channel has achieved a bigger coup for the third season of Coke Studio @MTV. They have roped in AR Rahman to their already existing line of producers that include Amit Trivedi,Clinton Cerejo,Hitesh Sonik and Salim-Sulaiman. Not only will it see the maestro trying his hands at a new format,it will also mark his return to Indian non-film music after a long gap; his last being the album Connections in 2008. The composer will be seen producing a set of six original songs for the show, which is scheduled to start in July.
Divalicious
If Vidya Balan insists on harking back to the bygone era with each Sabya-designed ensemble (its essentially a prolonged Maharani Gayatri Devi hangover),Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto are saving the day on the red carpet at Festival de Cannes. The two ladies seemed to have got it right with both their appearances on Day 2 of the event. Kapoor was togged out in a voluminous white Dolce & Gabbana gown with bold floral prints that she coupled with a Sunita Kapoor necklace and printed pumps. Pinto attended the François Ozon-directed Jeune & Jolie screening in a glamorous gild web gown custom designed by Indian designer Sanchita Ajjampur.

Put together by a team of stylists led by training creative director John Guest, the show saw models showcase the latest looks. Soft curls and plum highlights were the most noticeable.
