A College that has in attendance jolly boys and makhauli (jovial) girls, professors who crack jokes and are a joke themselves,a bunch of boys who clash with each other at the drop of a hat, airheaded girls who call themselves Brittany Begowal and Rajkumari Kiran, and strut around in dangerously steep stilettoes, plunging necklines and high hemlines, dudes with spiked hair and atrociously fake British accents, and bullies who pick and claim their right on everyone Young Malang is all this and nothing more. The debut film from the house of RSG Productions,Young Malang, unfortunately, fails to act as a big bang launchpad for its producers and singers-turned-actors Balli Riar and Vinaypal Buttar.
Four friends Jazz (Yuvraj),Kashmir (Buttar),Brittany (Neetu) and Anne (Anita) head out to help their long-lost buddy,Garari (Riar),get his girl,Kiran (Sukhani). With an ill-conceived plot, poorly defined characters and an erroneous screenplay,Young Malang does little justice to the genre of comedy. A film responds to a directors command and writers vision both are hugely missing in the execution of this supposedly college reunion-cum-flashback flick.

Film: Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya
Director: Thakur Tapasvi
Cast: Inderjeet Nikku,Sana Khan,Raza Murad,Parikshat Sahni
Writer: Thakur Tapasvi

With only three people in the hall,Dil Pardesi Ho Gayas first day first show proved to be a really private screening. Perhaps the only press the films attracted is running into a controversy with actor Akshay Kumar, who alleged that his goodwill speech on Indo-Pak relations was misused in the film. A post-Partition tale of two best friends, love across the border and acts of terrorism,Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya oscillates between extreme emotions from torture chambers to romance and comedy,to long-lost friends and a truckload of songs. While Nikku sings his way in the film,Pakistani actress Sana Khan as Nazia does most of the work, especially when she does a Rani Mukerji from Veer Zara and presents her case to free an Indian Army major in Pakistani custody. The one star here is for the funny tailors in the film, and the shining veterans Sahni,Murad,Mohammad Sadiq,Kapoor and of course, the late Jaspal Bhatti.
