PU IAS centre gets new director

Ravi K Mahajan,on Tuesday,took over the IAS Centre at PU as its Director.

Ravi K Mahajan,on Tuesday,took over the IAS Centre at PU as its Director. He had already been associated with the centre for over 15 years and plans to harness components of ICT to make the Centre more vibrant and to guide students to take on competitive exams more seriously. Presently,the Centre holds classes for Civil Services Exams and the process will soon be initiated for other courses.

Delegates from Bhopal,Pakistan visit Saupins

Bhopal NGO Aarushi,along with special children and five delegates from Pakistan,visited Saupins School in Sector 32 on Tuesday to hold a workshop to enlighten children about facts on the needs and support needed by disabled people. Anil Mudgal of Aarushi and Tanzila Khan from Pakistan talked to the students about how the disabled needed help and support and not pity and sympathy.

College Teachers Union protests

The Chandigarh unit of Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers Union,on Tuesday,protested against non-acceptance of their rightful demands by the Director (Higher Education). Around 50 representatives of the seven aided colleges of Chandigarh met the DHE to persuade her to consider their demands of promotions to the next grades,PhD,MPhil increments and past service benefits.
