Promises To Keep

Unlike her tinselville colleagues Sushmita Sen and Tabu,who were also due to put in appearances at shows at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW),actor Minissha Lamba did not renege on her promise to designer Ranna Gill. Lamba duly walked the ramp for Delhi-based Gill on the final day of the event,wearing a heavily embellished dress in chocolate tones. “What happened on the opening day was unfortunate. I had promised Ranna that I’d walk the ramp whenever her show is scheduled next,which is why I am here,” she said at the end of the show.

Gill’s collection consisted primarily of dresses,tunics,boyfriend jackets and fluid pants — silhouettes that the designer explored in her last season as well. We particularly liked the use of patchwork and kantha detailing on some of the ensembles.
