Price increase postponed till

After all these protests and hunger strikes,the University authorities which claimed till late evening that the decision of hike was taken only after rounds of meetings with the student representatives,announced a stall in the hike till November 22. They announcement was made after the authorities met the students sitting on hunger strike outside V-C office. The final decision will be taken after a meeting with the students. The SOPU and Council members immediately claimed it to be their achievement. “The pressure we were able to build on the authorities was successful in making the authorities to hold the decision of hike,” said Pushpinder Sharma,PUCSC president.
