‘PGI means a value system,a culture’

“Any institute is not just about the buildings or just about its doctors or facilities. It is about the value system,the culture of an institute which keeps it going and growing,” said Dr Amod Gupta,head of the Department of Ophthalmology and Advanced Eye Centre who joined the institute way back in 1974 as a student.

“The commitment to produce not just excellent doctors but also to provide the most advanced healthcare to patients of the entire region is at the very core of the value system of PGIMER,” he said beaming with pride.

“PGI was the first institute in the public sector to start at 8 am. And that is what commitment is,” added Dr Gupta.
