It was paws and awes all over. Sunday evening saw the Mohali Kennel Club putting up a magnificent dog show. On the lines of the Chandigarh Kennel Club’s dog show,this one too had owners flaunting pedigrees. Among the show stealers were Dr Antarpreet Toor’s pekignese. “They are imported dogs and their lineage goes back to the Chinese royal dynasty,” he says. It has a royal tag of Rs 20,000 too! Meanwhile,the trend of big dogs seems to be going out,it’s the little ones that are making their way in. With more and more flats and apartments coming up,the demand for Lhasa Apso,Pug,Beagle et al is increasing! Woof to that!
