Diana Hayden has been shooting nonstop for the past 10 days. Yet,the model-actress-looking gorgeous in a little black dress and stilettos-doesn’t show any sign of exhaustion.

The secret probably lies in the former Miss World doing what’s close to her heart. She has been mentoring the young girls who are participating in the reality show Fact Universal Teen Pageant. She’s been spending a lot of time with them-on and off screen. “I’m not doing this just for the camera, most of the time I spent with the girls is not even shot because I go up to them in their rooms and have a chat with them in case they need help. Whenever I get the time,I give them tips on clothes, food, hair and etiquettes,” reveals Hayden, chilling by the beach at The Resort in Madh Island.

When we quizzed her on why she decided not to judge the girls instead, she bursts out laughing and says,“I don’t want the girls to make dolls of me and poke it with pins. I don’t think I could ever have the heart to be a judge, especially when such young girls are involved. I want them to know that I’m on their side. I’m already very attached to each one of them.”

It’s become quite common for celebrities to be seen on reality shows in a bid to increase their popularity-also bank balance. Fact Universal Teen Pageant, which is going on air coming weekend, offered Hayden her second stint on the small screen. She was far from the showbiz until she suddenly appeared on Bigg Boss last year. “I was in Los Angeles. I hosted a few TV and radio shows there. Apart from that,my charity work takes me around the world to raise money,” says Hayden. Still the model is very glad that she decided to be a part of Bigg Boss. “Earlier people would be afraid to approach me but now everyone from kids to housewives come up to me and start talking,as if I’m part of their family. I love it,” she reveals.

Hayden has been associated with a number of charity organisations in the recent years. While she’s not seen on the telly too often, she is a regular at international charity events. “Raising money is an important part of charity. I get a lot of satisfaction when I do some work myself. When I was working with Habitat for Humanity and involved in actually building home, people were skeptical. I even heard someone say let’s give her five minutes, she’ll break a nail and leave in no time. But I was there for days and that surprise most people.”

On this positive note,Hayden heads for the swing in the nearby garden. “I haven’t been on swings for over 15 years,” she giggles,“ I wish I were wearing jeans so that I could have gone a lot higher.”
