This one’s bizarre,and it’s based on what is known as Pakraua Vivaah. In a bid to focus on yet another social evil,Colors is out with its latest,Sab Ki Jodi Wahi Banaata – Bhagyavidhaata. Produced by Shreya Creations,Sabki Jodi focuses on how people are forced into a marriage,and how,as a result of this victimisation,two individuals suffer the consequences. The new show revolves around Bindia,a well educated girl living in a village whose life takes a turn when her father,unable to find a suitable groom for his daughter due to dowry factors,abducts a boy and gets her married off to her. The track then traces Bindia’s life from before her marriage to the time after where she is desperately trying to come to terms with this odd situation. Apparently,this show is an attempt to bring to fore one such social practice and make people aware of its existence. Watch the drama unfold on May 4,7 pm on Colors.
