NSUI body submits representaion on implementation of RTE Act

NSUI delegation led by Sunny Mehta submitted the representation to the adviser to Administrator and education secretary.

Affiliates of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Monday submitted a representation to the UT education department after visiting a few private schools seeking implementation of the RTE Act in all the schools. NSUI delegation led by Sunny Mehta submitted the representation to the adviser to Administrator and education secretary. Mehta said that the administration was acting liberal and lenient with regard to the implementation of the RTE Act. “Department must act tough against the schools violating the act,as March 31 was the deadline for its implementation. The administration must withdraw their recognition and take over these schools by canceling their allotment of land, and the schools be run as government schools,” he said.
