After winning 37 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, to become the third-largest party in Lok Sabha last year, the Samajwadi Party (SP) in 2024-25 fiscal received voluntary contributions of Rs 93.47 lakh, double to the amount received in the 2023-24 when the party had only five members in the House.

The contributions for SP are constantly growing since 2022-23, finds an analysis of the annual return in respect of voluntary contribution details that the Akhilesh Yadav-led party submitted to the Election Commission.

The party has shared the details of the contributions received – in excess of Rs 20,000 – during the financial Year 2024-2025 in October this year and the Election Commission made the declarations of all the political parties public on Saturday.
