It’s her growing up years in picturesque Shimla that have inspired Payal Juneja to create paintings that capture nature. Her artwork, reproducing different colours and moods of nature, are on display at the exhibition showcased at Flamme Bois,Sector 7 till December 18. “I had the urge of pasting these moods and colours on canvas since childhood. Every time I pass a blank canvas,I feel something exploding inside me. It is always the beginning of a new creation,’’ says Juneja, who has been trained to paint with acrylic, oil and water colours to experiment with different textures. Her collection comprises abstract, landscapes, and figurative works. As a part of her collection,Juneja has created a sequence of images which create a collective visual impact. The works which are closest to her heart, and also on display here, are paintings depicting Buddha. There is the Stone Buddha,Meditative Buddha,Golden Buddha. “Buddha has always been my inspiration and fascinated me,” says Juneja.
