To ascertain what has been done so far by Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Sharma on the disqualification petitions filed by MP Kuldeep Bishnoi, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday directed him to submit the entire record in regard to the case.

A division bench headed by Justice M M Kumar directed Sharma’s counsel Sanjiv Bansal to produce details pertaining to records and hearings held by the Speaker on the petitions by December 7.

In his petition,Bishnoi had sought disqualification of five MLAs — Sat Pal Sangwan,Vinod Bhayana,Narender Singh,Zile Singh and Dharam Singh — from the membership of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. The five had been elected to Haryana Vidhan Sabha on the ticket of the Haryana Janhit Congress. But on November 9,2009,they left the party and joined the Congress.

A single Bench on December 20 had directed Speaker to decide within four months the disqualification petitions. Aggrieved, the Speaker had moved the high court.
