While the girl’s team won their opening match,the Chandigarh boys did not get off to a good start and had to taste defeat. The Chandigarh eves outclassed Tamil Nadu,3-0,to start on a winning note.

Chandigarh eves defeated Tamil Nadu,15-11,16-14,15-7,15-12,15-3,15-11,to script an easy victory. On the other hand,the Chandigarh boys suffered 3-0 (15 – 10,15 – 12,15 – 12,15 – 10,15 – 10,15 – 13) defeat to Delhi.
