Meals at Midnight

A few coffee shops apart,that too tucked away in hotels,there are no eateries in the city that are operational beyond midnight. Realising that there is a growing trend in the city where diners love to indulge in meals after hours,Cinnamon,the all-day dining multi-cuisine restaurant housed in Park Plaza Chandigarh has come up with a midnight buffet now. True to its name,the buffet is laid out at midnight and is available till four in the morning. Despite the odd timings,it’s heartening to see that the restaurant hasn’t compromised on the variety. A mix of home-style and fine-dining fare,there’s a good line-up of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries,eggs-to-order with accompaniments,and dals as well as a range of desserts. The cuisine is a mix of Indian,Oriental and Continental. The highlights,however,are the biryanis. “We realised that many diners are looking to catch a bite after visiting a nightclub or partying late. We wanted to offer a good spread to fill the vacuum,” said the hotel’s General Manager,Gaurav Taneja. The buffet will be available from Tuesday to Saturday. A meal for two costs Rs 2,200.
