MC razes 41 structures in Bapu Dham Colony

About 41 newly-constructed pucca structures on the Municipal land in Bapu Dham Colony were removed by the MC as part of the demolition drive on Tuesday. The demolished structures include 10 commercial shops. The drive was led by Assistant Commissioner Parminder Pal Singh and assisted by tehsildar Surinder Kumar Sharma and Executive Engineer of the Roads wing of MC,Sanjay Arora. The anti encroachment team had to face mild resistance from the residents,but no untoward incident was reported. Municipal Commissioner Dr Roshan Sunkaria,said,“Such encroachments will be removed immediately. Legal actions will be initiated against habitual encroachers.”
