Maths paper makes students smile

Relief was evident on the faces of the students appearing for the Central Board of Secondary Education Class X examinations.

Relief was evident on the faces of the students appearing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X examinations,as they came out of their centres after taking their first paper on Saturday.

With the first paper being Mathematics, the students were a little worried before they entered the examination centres. But as the question papers were distributed, they found the questions to be on the easier side.

“The students were happy with the question paper. With the grading system, tension and stress among Class X students have faded away. A simple question paper has reduced it further,” said CBSE counsellor Rakesh Sachdeva.

Neha Sehgal,a student, who appeared for the paper, said: “The paper was average. It seems that the Board is taking care of making the students feel less stressed out. According to another student, almost all sets of question papers were easy and even average students were able to attempt most questions.

The next examination,Sanskrit,is scheduled for March 7. It will be followed by Social Science on March 10.
