There’s not much that international creative hair artist,Sherri Jessee, writes off in terms of fashion, except for probably, hair straightening. “We have had an overdose of that. Now is the time to experiment — to let your hair free and bring in a little movement,” says Jessee, who is at Headmasters,Sector 8,these days to training hair experts on the new line of products called Rusk, and on techniques such as “halo” and “ponytail”. “While the halo technique is about getting the basic cut right with hair shaped neatly, ponytail technique creates soft layers,” explains Jessee.

Here, she also showcases four hair styles on models that look like a “harmonious marriage between international hair styling and Indian culture”. While one model sported an overdose of stark blue on the crown, another displayed a shade of green that played hide-and-seek with her otherwise brown hair. “Dark hair colours give a smooth touch if highlighted with dark hues of copper, brown and red,but for a little fun,it’s a good idea to add off-beat colours,” says the lady, who’s been practising the art in the US for 30 years. She feels that though people across the world are very experimental, people in India “play safe” and are happy to use loud colours only in small proportions. Nevertheless, she is happy with the response she has got here.
