A city-based trio is set to change the way we plan our party nights

Recession is a lesser known word this side of the country. For large-hearted Punjabis with their deep pockets are still going ahead with what they know best – live life to the fullest. Keeping with the spirit of cheer,an all-new restrobar Black Magic is set for a grand launch this weekend. Tucked away on the highest floor (second just so that you know!) of DT Mall,the 92-cover (including the eight bar stools) club of sorts offers what its name suggests – a black theme running right through and lots of magic in store! Interestingly,the place spread over 2,500 sq ft rolled in after three like-minded gentlemen decided to make the most of their individual skills. We all had ideas in the head and magically were united in our efforts, chorus well-known advertising and marketing gurus from the city – Munish Arora and Prasana Rao who are joined by Devinder Sandhu of WWICS group.

The aim is to redefine the way the city hears music,parties and enjoys a meal, Munish further adds as we notice the low-seating,black and copper hues,huge window panes,a VIP area and a star-lit bar! The decor comes courtesy a young designer Neha Aggarwal of Design 360 who has used the colour black to make a style statement. Black Magic wont just be a night club or discotheque. The restaurant will run 12 noon onwards and will dish out a mix of global cuisine, shares Rao,who mentions pre-plated menus on the cards. Further,they plan on holding theme-based nights for each day of the week. Its not going to be only a weekend affair here, asserts Arora. So if its a Wednesday,expect a Sufi Night; Fridays are Romantic Nights and Mondays are Stress Buster Nights! We wanted to play out music for everyone and hence the different themes, chorus the two.

With the formal launch set for Saturday night,Black Magic is set to host an international DJ who is as good with the turntables as she is with the dance floor. Shes into sword dancing,pole dancing and more, briefs Rao who is also bringing in a special laser show for the inaugural bash. Also since we are into promotions,events and a recording label we will be promoting local talent as well, sums up Arora.
