Saat Phere to fast forward to Gen Next

ZEE’S Saat Phere has finally decided to take the leap. After Sharad Kelkar and Rajshree Thakur’s exit,the show will be introducing a host of characters wherein the kids will be shown as grown-ups,and the storyline will focus on the next generation. It will now zoom its camera on Saloni’s daughters,Saawri and Shweta. Says a source,“A nationwide audition was held to get the new faces to play the teenagers in the show. While Rachana Parulkar,a Class XII student of Mumbai’s Mithibai College is going to play Saawri,Amrapali will essay the role of Shweta. The role of Brijesh and Tara’s son,Aditya will be played by newcomer Ahem. Vaidehi,Aditi’s daughter will be essayed by Pooja Sharma,while Samar’s daughter Nikita will be played by Bhumika. Saawri’s childhood friend Ram Prasad will be played by Kunal Thakur.” The story will now focus on the relationship of the new generation and this will be an interesting phase which will appeal to the viewers.
