KBDAV School honours educationists

On the occasion of Teachers Day,KBDAV School in Sector 7 celebrated Guru Shishya parampara diwas at Tagore Theatre on Friday,where five educationists were honoured for their contribution to the field.

Rajinder Nath,Vice-President,DAV CMC,New Delhi was chief guest for the event,while Upkar Singh DPI (S) and R J Khanderao,Regional Officer,CBSE were also present.

Among those honoured were Madhu Chitkara,Vice-Chancellor,Chitkara University,Reema Dewan,Principal,Delhi Public School,Shashi Banerjee,Principal,Bhawan Vidyalaya,Panchkula,Harpreet Kaur,Principal,Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School,Sanjay Sardana,Principal,Manav Mangal Smart School,Mohali and Geetika Sethi,Director,The British School,Panchkula.

The teachers presented a drama performance about the principals of the Arya Samaj accompanied with sound and light effects along with theme based dance performances and plays being presented during the event.

As per the schools tradition,principal Madhu Bahl announced the five best teachers for the year 2012-13 and presented them with trophies.

The awardee teachers included Promila Deol,Ruchi Bedi,Sandeep Kathuria,Jaspreet Sandha and Chitra Dhiman.
