Chandigarh : The third round Katoch Shield Trophy match between Ludhiana and Mohali,scheduled to be played at PCA Stadium,Mohali,from September 7 to September 10,has been rescheduled and will now be played from September 9 to September 12 at PAU Ludhiana. This change was made due to the T20 Champions League matches which have been shifted from Hyderabad to Mohali. However,the other two third round encounters will be played from September 7 to September 10 with Chandigarh taking on Jalandhar at FC Sondhi Ground,Jalandhar and Patiala crossing swords with Amritsar at Dhruv Pandove Stadium,Patiala. At the end of the second round,Jalandhar with 9 points is leading the pack and they are being closely followed by Patiala (8 points) and Amritsar (7 points) while Chandigarh,Ludhiana and Mohali are languishing at the bottom with three points each.

Cricket trials on Sunday
Chandigarh : Sky Line Cricket Academy,Zirakpur will hold trials in the U-19 category at the academy at 3.00 pm on September 8. The players will attend a one-week long cricket coaching camp and then the selected players will take part in the one-day tournament to be held in Goa. Cricket tourney from today
Chandigarh : The second edition of Chandigarh Champions League,a day-night tennis ball cricket Championship will be played from September 7 at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium. The participating teams will be divided into four pools and each team will play two league matches in their respective pool. The top two teams from each pool will advance into the quarter-finals. The final will be played on September 12. interested teams can register their entries with the officials at 9888181200.
Golf coaching from today
PANCHKULA: The weekend golf coaching programme will be conducted by Panchkula Golf Club from September 7 to 29 at Panchkula Golf Club. The programme is designed for beginners,children,and people of all ages and will be conducted by Ajay Gujral,EGTF certified coach. The programme will have a total of eight coaching days and shall be conducted twice a week,i.e every Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 10 am. Members as well as non-members pf the Panchkula Golf Club can enrol for this programme. Focus will be on the fundamentals of the game,including basic swing technique and short game instruction.
