ITBP gets 516 new recruits

As many as 516 newly trained recruits from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police took oath during the passing out parade at the ITBPs Basic Training Centre on Thursday.

As many as 516 newly trained recruits from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police took oath during the passing out parade at the ITBPs Basic Training Centre on Thursday. Director General of Police,R S Dalal took the salute. The recruits were administered the oath by deputy commandant Paramhans Singh.

In his address,Dalal appreciated the grit and determination of these recruits to undergo rigorous physical and mental training. He also asked them to give their best to the nation being a pivotal part of the national security apparatus. He also told them that they would be needed to prove their mettle in various situations and for this,they would have to maintain a high level of discipline and effectiveness.

The recruits were trained for weapons,drill,judo,map reading,field craft,shooting and swimming for 44 weeks. The best cadet award for physical training was given to constable E Jon Amol Raj while the same award in drill,weapon training and firing was bagged by Tarak Karmorkar,Vijay Rana and Kavinder Singh respectively.
