Two years ago,when the first edition of Bacardi NH7 Weekender took place in Pune,no one expected that it would secure a place for the city on the indie music map,way ahead of even Delhi and Mumbai. After two successful years,the third edition is back,and not just in Pune this time. The organisers,Only Much Louder,recently announced the Delhi and Bengaluru outings of the festival this year. The three cities will have a different line-up of indie bands and international artistes.
The festival will take place in the Capital at Buddh International Circuit,Greater Noida,on October 13-14,at Amanora Park in Pune from November 2-4 and in Bengaluru on December 15-16.
At all the venues,the festival will have six stages,each dedicated to a different genre electronica,folk and fusion,rock and metal,dubstep,one for singer-songwriters and another for new bands.
In the last two years,a number of well-known artistes such as Susheela Raman,Karsh Kale,Swarathma,The Raghu Dixit Project and Imogen Heap have performed at the previous editions of the Weekender. The line-up for this years festival will be announced early next month.
