GNDU to set up Guru Granth Institute
After a long wait,Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) is finally setting up the Guru Granth Sahib Studies Institute on the campus as announced earlier by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in 2004 on the eve of the 400th centenary celebrations of the Guru Granth Sahib at Golden Temple. Varsity vice-chancellor A S Brar admitted that due to “some reasons”,the proposal could not be materialised earlier but now the institute would be established shortly.

INTACH heritage walk in city today
Indian National Trust for Art AND Cultural Heritage (INTACH)’s Amritsar chapter will be organizing a heritage walk on Saturday. Amrit Lal Mannan,coordinator of school heritage clubs said a painting competition ‘My City My History’ will be launched by Fox History channel.
