Popular Haryanvi singer Raju Punjabi passed away in the early hours of Tuesday. He was receiving treatment for jaundice at a private hospital in Hisar for the past several days.

He will be cremated in his native village, Rawatsar, in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district on Tuesday. He had sung several Haryanvi hit songs. His demise is seen as a setback to the music industry of Haryana.

Following his demise, several of his fans took to social media to reflect on his contributions to the music industry.
