In Brijendra Vs Dushyant, Uchana to see a battle of titans again
Brijendra Singh and Chautala had been former MPs of Hisar and their families had been taking on each other from this seat.

Amid speculations of a seat-sharing arrangements between the Congress and AAP, the Congress on Sunday released a list of nine more candidates for the Haryana Assembly polls, fielding Brijendra Singh from Uchana Kalan, and Mohit Grover from Gurugram.
With this, the Congress has declared a total of 41 candidates for polls to the 90-member Haryana assembly.
The Uchana Kalan seat is set to witness a fierce battle between two political dynasts with Brijendra Singh and JJP’s Dushyant Chautala pitted against each other. Both had been former MPs of Hisar and their families had been taking on each other from this seat.
Those who figured in Sunday’s list include Ashok Arora from Thanesar, Kuldeep Sharma from Ganaur, Paramvir Singh from Tohana, Anirudh Chaudhry from Tosham, Balram Dangi from Meham, Manju Chaudhary from Nangal Chaudhary, Vardhan Yadav from Badshahpur and Mohit Grover from Gurugram.
Another interesting contest will be in Tosham where Congress veteran (now BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP) Kiran Choudhry’s daughter Shruti Choudhry will be facing a contest from her cousin — Congress’ Anirudh Choudhry. While Shruti is former Haryana CM Bansi Lal’s younger son late Surender Singh’s daughter, Anirudh is Bansi Lal’s elder son Ranbir Mahendra’s son.
In Gurugram, soon after the Congress released its list of candidates, a gangster Binder Gurjar who is facing multiple cases registered on charges of heinous crimes, campaigning for Mohit Grover surfaced on social media. In the videos that went viral, Binder Gurjar is seen appealing people not to become a gangster like him.
For the last few days, Grover was threatening to contest as Independent candidate if the Congress did not field him. “I am working to ensure security of our sisters, mothers and daughters. I want to work for improvement of infrastructure in Gurgaon,” Mohit said.
“Which gangster is seeking votes for me? If somebody loves me, is working for me – how can stop anybody. People love me and want to canvass for me. As far as that stage sharing by so called gangster is concerned, I was invited to an event. When I reached the stage, I did not know who all were present on stage. How could I have left the stage when there were hundreds of people looking at me. Had I got off the stage, people would have revolted against me. How could I decide who were the persons sitting on stage waiting for me”, Mohit told media persons today.
Among other prominent faces in the party’s second list, Paramvir Singh is a former minister, Dangi is the son of senior party leader Anand Singh Dangi, and Sharma is a former Assembly Speaker.
The Congress on Friday declared 32 candidates for the polls, fielding former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, state unit chief Udai Bhan from Hodal and wrestler Vinesh Phogat from Julana.
The party had first released a list of 31 candidates and a little later, in a statement, said the CEC had approved the candidature of Balbir Singh from the Israna (reserved for the Scheduled Castes) constituency. Singh is the incumbent MLA from Israna.
