Harmandeep’s hat-trick steers Chandigarh to emphatic triumph

During a one-sided match,Harmandeep was the player in spotlight as he scored a hat-trick to help Chandigarh beat Vidharbha 10-0 in a league match during the 63rd Rangaswami Cup Senior National Men’s Hockey Championship being played at Bhopal on Wednesday. With this win,Chandigarh notched their second successive win after their morale-boosting 9-1 win over Kerala on Tuesday. If Harmandeep was in the thick of action,then Gagandeep Gill (senior) and skipper Sukhbir Singh Gill made sure Chandigarh win convincingly by hitting superb two goals each. Deepanshu,Gaurav and Gagandeep (junior) hit one goal each to swell the total. Chandigarh will face Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Both the teams have won their matches but Chandigarh have better goal difference due to the superb work by their forwards. Both the teams will go all guns blazing in the last league match to top the pool.
