Until that time,Robert was looking the least one to score a goal for his time but that goal changed everything. Two more goal followed and Robert became the first player to earn the distinction of scoring three-in-a-row feat of the 8th Administrator’s Challenge Cup All India Under-17 Football Tournament held at the Sector 42 stadium on Thursday.

P Tshering Singh was the other player to grab a hat-trick in the team’s facile 10-1 win over Indian Tigers,Mumbai.

Robert had to wait a while before he unleashed his magic in front of the crowd gathered there to witness the match. He completed the hat-trick in a span of 18 minutes. He scored in the 60th,63rd and then the 78th minute. P Tshering was the first to put the team into lead when he found the back of the net in the 15th minute. He then went on to score goals in the 24th and 44th minute.

T Itonsana Singh (25th ),Roel Lepcha (32nd ),A Sushil Metei (37th ) and Bijoy Subha (43rd ) were the other goal-getters for the winning team. Later,at the same ground,Mirozam SSA outplayed Haryana Football Association by 6-1 in a Group B fixture. Haryana took the lead through Narender Singh in the 17 th minute. After conceding a goal,Mizoram hit back with vengeance and restored parity in the 19 th minute through Francis Ramdin. The Mizoram players then struck through Challiant Lunga (34 th ) and Dawngliana (39 th ) to take a 2-1 lead in the fisrt half. On resumption,the Mizoram players continued to dominate and Dawngliana (45 th ),Lal Rin Hlya (57 th ) and C Remmawia (80 th,penalty) added one goal each to increase their victory margin.

Meanwhile,at the Sector 17 Football stadium,Madhya Pradesh eked out a surprising 1-0 victory over Dalbir Academy of Patiala in a Group D match. The match-winner was scored by Mukesh Kumar in 80+1 (additional time). Youth Club of Rurka Kalan began their campaign with a 3-0 thrashing of Sampalpur Football Academy,Orissa. Indian Football Academy,Kolkatta,eked out a narrow 1-0 victory over SGGS Paldi. The all-important goal was scored by the Sukhen Bag in the 10 th minute of play.
