Gearing Up

It’s the season of romcoms, and the latest to hit the theatres is Punjabi film Ishq Garaari. While the film will release on October 25,its actors, music directors, director and producers were in city,at Park Plaza in Sector 17,to launch the film’s music. Just like its multi-starrer cast — including Gulzar Chahal,Mandy Takhar,Rannvijay,Vinaypal Buttar,Sharry Mann,Chachc Rauniki Ram and Miss Pooja — the film has an even bigger “cast” of music directors. Between the eight tracks in the film, there are five eminent musicians lending tunes and styles. “Since all our actors have distinct looks and personalities,we got music directors on board who would do justice to each style,” says director Dheeraj Rattan, who returns with this one after his mediocre debut with Saadi Love Story. Rattan says the need for different music directors stemmed from the fact that each of his four male leads are projecting diverse images — for instance,Sharry is a struggling writer-singer,whose songs have been sung by Nick Dhammu from Canada. Similarly,Vinaypal plays a lively cop called Rabrakha, and who better than Yo Yo Honey Singh to complement his style. The film’s music has been produced by newly launched Cosmic Music and the film has been produced by Gulzar Chahal’s Mirus Motion Pictures along with Ravi Jain,Karan and Abhay Jain.
