Success at 16
WWICS held a grand party in Canada marking its 16 successful years in the immigration industry. Professionally well settled immigrants,aspiring immigrants,business associates,political bigwigs,dignitaries,industrialists,media comprised of the 450 individuals that were a part of the grand celebrations. People from pockets of India,Nepal,Sri Lanka,Africa,South America (Trinidad,Tobago and Jamaica) thronged Canada to participate in the function. The chief guest of the function,Lois Brown is the Member of Parliament for Newmarket-Aurora,Ontario and is a member of the House of Commons Standing Committees on Transport,Infrastructure and Communities,and Foreign Affairs and International Trade. She congratulated WWICS on its fair and transparent working in last 16 years and exhorted its efforts in settling immigrants in best possible way. Political invitees included personalities like Kyle Seeback,Candidate of the Canadian Conservative Party from Brampton West,Lawyer with Simmons Da Silva and Sinton LLP and Member of the Canadian & Ontario Bar Associations and Peel Law Association. Lt Col BS Sandhu (retd.),Chairman and managing Director,WWICS said that WWICS started with one office each in India and Toronto. Today it has 800 employees across the world.
Spreading wings

The three-day awareness campaign on the role of Lasers and latest cosmetic surgery techniques,held at National Skin Hospital,Mansa Devi Complex was a big hit. Internationally acclaimed dermato-laser surgeon,Dr Vikas Sharma stated that LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.) technology has revolutionized dermatological treatments and many other cosmetic surgical techniques in modern medicine. New advanced Lasers and Lights which would play an important role in the treatment of various dermatological disorders resistant to conventional therapies and a state-of-the-art operation theatre where the latest and innovative skin,cosmetic and plastic surgeries will be performed were unveiled at National Skin Hospital.
But an important thing to remember,says Dr Vikas,is that a mere session of Laser / Light therapy wont cure the problem. The key lies in being regular during the entire course of treatment. The treating physician/surgeon and patients should also be aware of the conditions in which a patient cannot have laser therapy like herpes virus infection,keloidal tendency,abnormal endocrine status. An important word of caution is that Lasers in the hand of inexperienced and unqualified can prove disastrous.
