Audi announced the introduction of three new engines for the Audi A4 – the 3.0 TDI quattro,the 2.0 TFSI and the 1.8 TFSI. And with this,comes significantly greater fuel efficiency – 10 per cent less fuel than their predecessors,more power,the max being the 3.2 FSI quattro,and a special offer for customers – a 3.99 per cent interest financing rate. The price for the Audi A4 range starts at INR 2,667,000 for the Audi A4 1.8 TFSI (ex-showroom Mumbai). Audi also includes the LED rear lights as standard fitment from June onwards in the new Audi A4 range as addition to the famous LED front lights. Customers now have a choice of two high-tech transmission solutions: the tiptronic six-speed automatic gearbox and the continuously variable multitronic version. The high-end models,the Audi A4 3.2 FSI quattro and the Audi A4 3.0 TDI,are equipped with the quattro permanent four-wheel drive system.

A new skin
National Skin Hospital,Mansa Devi Complex today announced its tie up with an International Dutch company Brema Pharma in setting up Skin Cancer and Anti-Ageing Cells in the hospital. Brema Pharma has developed photosensitizer molecules,which in combination with advanced Lasers will form photodynamic therapy,which will help treat all types of skin cancers and pre-cancerous skin conditions. Home cum Health Secretary of UT Ram Niwas,endorsed the new system and said the efforts taken up by Brema Pharma and National Skin Hospital will provide relief to a lot of patients suffering from skin cancer and pre-cancerous skin conditions. He said the skin diseases should not be taken lightly and pre-cancerous skin conditions should be detected and treated at an early stage. The Chairman of Dutch company Harrie Wink and Brema Pharma M.D.(India) Parminder Kaur said tie up will promote medical tourism. Dr.Vikas Sharma of the National Skin Hospital said the new insights regarding convergence of the molecular basis of dermatological disorders have provided newer therapeutic modalities like photodynamic therapy. He added that this would revolutionize the dermatological treatment for skin cancers and precancerous skin conditions and its forms are also useful in anti-ageing and various chronic skin diseases that are not responding to conventional therapies.
