Carrying on with its ‘Can Do’ attitude and ‘Dare for More’ spirit,Pepsi has roped in India’s boxing star,bronze medalist and a youth icon,Vijender Singh,as it new brand ambassador.

Carrying on with its ‘Can Do’ attitude and ‘Dare for More’ spirit,Pepsi has roped in India’s boxing star,bronze medalist and a youth icon,Vijender Singh,as it new brand ambassador. This makes Vijender one of the first sportsmen beyond the realm of cricket to jump on Pepsi’s ambassadorial team. Headed for the Grand Prix Ussti Nad Labem,an International Boxing Tournament in Czech Republic,Vijender says,“I am excited to be associated with an iconic youth brand like Pepsi. Being a sportsman,I have always been a believer in ‘Youngistaan’s’ core philosophy – Chaho Toh Sab Kuch Hai Aasan. I strongly believe that a winner is one who thinks big,has self-confidence and follows their dreams to be successful in life. That’s my mantra and that’s how I claimed my victory!”

Sandeep Singh Arora,Executive Vice President – Marketing Colas,PepsiCo India adds,“Brand ambassadors of Pepsi are not only the face of the brand but also extension of the brand’s youthful and irreverent imagery and exemplify the same dynamism as attached with the brand. With the ‘Youngistaan’ campaign,Pepsi celebrates ‘Youthdom’- their never failing attitude and their desire to take on challenges and the power to turn things around.” Meanwhile,Vijender is participating in World Championship (Italy,August -September,09),various European Grand Prix tournaments,Commonwealth Games (Delhi,October,2010) and World Cup (December,2010). He will also be one of the key features of the World Boxing Series,which is a global franchisee model designed by (IBA).
