Sunday saw Beam Global Spirits & Wine flag off the first edition of their time-speed-distance navigation rally – ‘DYC FormulaFun Race 2009’ in Chandigarh. The fun filled rally started and culminated at Chandigarh Club,Sector 1 and witnessed a huge participation from car enthusiasts. While 150 teams were on four wheelers,30 vroomed on motorbikes in five different categories. The formula fun race 2009 was flagged off by Brig Sant Singh.

Party Time
It was no less than a red carpet fare. The 16th anniversary of the World Wide Immigration Consultancy Services in Immigration Industry (WWICS) saw grand celebrations at their Mohali headquarters amidst the who’s who of Punjab and Chandigarh,all lining to congratulate the WWICS family. The WWICS Board of Directors including Lt. Gen Chibber,former Governor Punjab,Joginder Singh,former CBI Director,AS Chatha,former Chief Secretary,Punjab,KN Pathak,former Vice Chancellor,Punjab University et al were also in attendance. The event started with the annual prize distribution and moved on to dance,music and performances. On the occasion,70 Landing Papers/Visa were given by the Chief Guest,and a souvenir on “WWICS’s 16 years of Successful Journey of WWICS” was released by the Chief Guest Pawan Kumar Bansal,Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.

A Meeting of customers of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India,Branch Office,Panchkula was organised by a well-known LIC of India agent Parveen Dutt on the occasion of inauguration of her office in Sector 2,Panchkula. Former Governor of Punjab and UT Administrator,Lt Gen BKN Chibber (retd) was the chief guest while Rajiv Bali,a leading industrialist from the region inaugurated the office. Speaking on the occasion,branch manager,LIC,Panchkula,PJ Raina highlighted the role of LIC in social development and the initiatives taken by LIC in rendering services to their customers. LIC’s development officer SN Vashishtha also listed out current products of LIC such as ‘Market Plus I’,’Jeevan Akshay’,’Jeevan Anand’ on the occasion.
