FIFA grassroot programme underway

The course includes theory and practical sessions based on organising training sessions and festivals for the age group of 6 to 12 years- both boys and girls.

Under the watchful eyes of coach Surinder Singh,a qualified FIFA grassroots instructor and national selector /coach who is instructor,a total of 35 participants from different schools and institutions attend the grassroot program if All India Football Federation (AIFF) at the St Stephen’s School ground in Sector 45. The course includes theory and practical sessions based on organising training sessions and festivals for the age group of 6 to 12 years- both boys and girls.

The main objective of the program is to attract more people towards football and popularise the game at school-level and providing opportunity to every child who is interested in playing football. This is a n initiative of Chandigarh Football Association with the support of Harold Carver,Director/Principal of St. Stephen’s School,Chandigarh.

The DPI Schools have sent 15 teachers from different schools to attend the course. The course started on April 4 and shall conclude on April 6.
