Vanity Fair is one of the most anticipated events on the city’s roster,specially when it comes to shopping and splurging on weekends. The two-day spring-summer edition is set to roll out today at Whispering Willows — Priya and Abhay Jagat’s expansive country resort in Zirakpur. This time around,the lifestyle exhibition spread out on the lawns of the resort will host a large number of exhibitors from Delhi,Udaipur,Mumbai,Pondicherry and other parts of the country. “This year we have many first timers in the show,” mentions Priya. There’s Indian Art Decor,a silver furniture and accessories brand from Udaipur; Silk Road & Beyond,Delhi’s leading lifestyle store offering furnishings and home accessories,Sampoorn will bring in furniture for children and room accessories along with a stall by Grey Orange Robotics that will have robotics for the first time in Chandigarh. There will be a range of designers who will be showcasing their spring-summer collections. Among them are labels like Rolina Benarus offering exquisite Benarasi dupattas,suits and sarees along with Lucknow’s Neelum Bhasin who specialises in designer chikankari. Look out for The Orange Tree — popular for its leather and leatherite furniture and home accessories,funky designer T-shirts from Fat Fakir,handmade chocolates from Gourmet Affaires,block printed table linen and summer quilts from Delhi-based label Aanandi and Auroville pottery. There will be beer and barbeque by the poolside and live performances by singer Andre Claude Coelho too. Keeping the kids busy will be a play area for children by Jelly Bean Junction.
