Faces at the Jaipur Fest

Books are suddenly cool,at least going by the massive numbers of socialite-celebrities who have battled fog and the bracing cold to be in Jaipur for the Literature Festival.

Bollywood stalwarts Om Puri,Shabana Azmi,Deepti Naval and Ketan Mehta are attending sessions if not speaking at them. Designers Bina Ramani and Malini Ramani were spotted briefly while the Queen of Bhutan,Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk is quite the talk of the festival. Tina Brown and the Daily Beast hosted a dinner,replete with Rajasthani food,fire dancers,a traditional brass band and much wine. It’s not only about books.
