Drug stores raided in city

In a crackdown on the sale of spurious drugs and unfair trade practices by chemists,a team headed by Incharge Vigilance Cell-cum-SP Operations,R S Ghuman accompanied with DSP Vigilance Cell Parmod Kumar and Drugs Control Officer Sunil Chaudhary today conducted raids at various chemist shops in the city. The team took four samples during the raid and sent them for laboratory testing.

The shops included Grover and Sons,Booth No. 914-915 & 940-941,Motor Market & Commercial Complex,Mani Majra; Goyal Medicos,Shop 4,Block-D,GMCH-32,Bharat Medical Store,SCF 32,Sector16-D and Jagdamba Medical Hall,Shop 42,Sector-15-D; and Paul Medical Store,SCF 33,Ground Floor,Sector 11-D.

SP Ghuman said such drives would continue in future and the chemists found on the wrong side of the law will be booked under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
