Veteran designer Ritu Kumar’s show at Delhi’s Taj Palace Hotel,was a medley of both the familiar and the exciting. Held on the occasion of the launch of the Taj Falaknuma property in Hyderabad,the show was a typically Kumar affair,with lehengas dominating the ramp and beautiful embroidery being showcased to the fullest. Vibrant colours,lavish prints and textures morphed the collection into a bohemian fantasy inspired by the rich nomadic traditions of the Deccan. In keeping with the royal theme,walking the ramp for Kumar was Sharmila Tagore with daughter Soha Ali Khan,hailing from the royal family of Pataudi.
