Haryana Finance Minister Birender Singh today claimed that the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) would form its own government at the Centre on the basis of “its performance and all-round development of the country”.

After attending a college function here,he told mediapersons that there was a wave in favour of the Congress and it would form the next government. Referring to Haryana,he said the Congress would win all 10 Lok Sabha seats as there was no issue before the opposition parties on which they could seek votes. He further clarified that there was no anti-incumbency factor against the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government as it had delivered the goods for all sections of society, especially farmers.

Referring to the employees’ demand regarding pay structure after implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission,he said a report of pay anomalies committee has been prepared and all grievances regarding the pay structure will be sorted out. He also claimed that more emphasis will be laid on power, roads and augmentation of water supply in the state.

Ridiculing INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala’s statement regarding announcement without budget allocation,he said instead of wasting time fooling people,Chautala should look back at his regime of “jungle raj”.
