A decade ago,spas would have been an unlikely subject for coffee table books,but times have changed. Thursday evening witnessed the launch of Spas of India,a “handbook” that explores the spa industry in the country and offers information on different types of spa treatments available across the world along with spa cuisine and alternative healing therapies.

The book has been written by Khushboo Jain and produced jointly by GeoSpa Germany,a global spa consultancy,and Technogym,a company that designs fitness equipment. “This 250 page book also sheds light on the Indian wellness traditions while giving a peek into some international therapies. It intends to take its readers through a journey across India’s best spas,” says Pankaj Arora,MD,GeoSpa fitness. The book was launched by Bollywood actor Chitrangada Singh and the event was attended by members of Delhi’s glitterati such as designers Ritu Kumar and Leena Singh,actor Neesha Singh. The book is priced at Rs 3,350.
