CAT adjourns PGI director case hearing

CAT has adjourned the hearing on the petition in connection with alleged illegalities in selection procedure adopted for appointment of PGI director.

The Delhi Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has adjourned the hearing on the petition filed by Dr Digambar Behera in connection with alleged illegalities in the selection procedure adopted for appointment of the PGI director. The case stands adjourned to November 2.

The Tribunal has also issued notices to Dr Y K Chawla,in the interest of justice,since he has been appointed director. The Tribunal had asked the Health & Family Welfare and Department of Personnel secretaries,as well as the PGI Special Selection Committee chairman to reply to the allegations made in his petition by Behera regarding the appointment of the PGI director on October 7.
