Authentic food,traditional handloom and handicrafts to dominate in CII’s ‘Made in Pakistan’ show

There’s so much in common and yet so much different. Despite the similarities and the not so similar,it’s a indefinable bond that India and Pakistan share. In an aim to strengthen not just business ties but personal as well,CII has invited traders and businessman from across the border to participate in the first edition of the ‘Made in Pakistan’ show set to roll out this Wednesday. The five-day fair will pack in not just a treasure trove of arts and crafts culled from different regions of Pakistan but will also offer authentic cuisine of the country. “The recently held CII Consumer Fair saw a Pakistan Pavilion and the response was tremendous. Buoyed by the success of that we decided to hold an exclusive ‘Made in Pakistan’ event that would not just help strengthen trade relations but offer an opportunity for interaction among the people as well,” mentioned Chairman of the CII Chandigarh Council,Partap Aggarwal. Heading the delegation from across the border is Parvez Bandey from Lahore who brings with him designer womenswear and a contingent comprising of more than 40 exhibitors. “We are honoured at the gesture and hope we can hold a similar ‘Made in India’ event back home,” remarked Bandey who listed out the specials visitors can make the most of at the CII fair. “While the consumer fair saw a handful of exhibitors,this show is stronger with a larger variety of products. We bring garments,footwear,handicrafts,Onyx items,dry fruits,Melamine kitchenware,furniture,paintings,gemstones,sports goods and much more,” informed Bandey. The fair will roll out at CII’s Northern Region Headquarters,Sector 31 from December 23 to December 27 and will also see Minister of State for External Affairs,Preneet Kaur’s visit.
