Ludhiana: Indian National Lok Dal president and former chief minister of Haryana Om Prakash Chuatala targeted the Haryana government for dividing Sikhs to gain political mileage. He was in Ludhiana to meet SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar’s granddaughter who got married recently. Chautala called the party’s Haryana Diwas rally on Monday a big success. He said he was against a separate SGPC in Haryana. He also criticised the government for the problems being faced by farmers as their paddy was not being lifted from mandis.

Court allows ousted priest to recite prayers in temples

chandigarh: The head priest of three temples,Kapal Mochan,Badri Narain and Kedar Nath,in Yamunanagar of Haryana has moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court,challenging the Haryana government’s decision to take over the management of the temples and disallow him from performing pooja. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Mukul Mudgal and Justice Ajay Tewari has issued notices to the director of urban local bodies department and the deputy commissioner of Yamunanagar on the petition filed by Vimal Dev and allowed him to recite prayers inside the temples.
