With the weather turning nippy,it’s no surprise that restaurants are making changes to their menu as well. A regular with food festivals,Pride KC Hotel and Spa in Sector 3,Panchkula,has now rolled out a Lahori food festival at Chingaree, their Indian specialty restaurant. The menu has been put together by Executive Chef Shailendra Singh and award-winning chef,Hemanti, who specialises in Mughlai fare. While a live ghazal performance during the course of the festival is the highlight, the menu also offers a varied selection. We recommend starting with the array of kebabs prepared in seven styles — including tandoor, grilled and steamed versions. The menu also brings in biryanis. The Lahori special selections are a mix of robust curries and meats. Lahore ke Tunde,Balti Chicken,Lahori Kukkad,Keema Lahori and Yakhni pulao are some of the dishes on offer. The Bharwan Aloo Lahori for vegetarians is a good pick. The only deterrence to the Chandigarh diner is the distance but the effort is worth it. The festival is on till November 24.
