Beauty sans Borders

Bharti Taneja has been in the business of beauty and education for over two decades now. But the quest to be at par with the world,has taken this well-known cosmetologist and aesthetician all the way to the United Kingdom. Her Delhi-based Alps Academy of Beauty and Hair has now joined hands with Habia,a government appointed,standard setting body of the UK for makeup,hair,nail and beauty. Now, anyone training at her academy for beauty,hair,makeup and nail art courses will get certification that would be valid in 100 countries across the world. “It’s the need of the hour to be globally in-step,especially when it comes to quality education. Aspirants usually spend large sums of money to go abroad. There are many uncertainties attached with that including language barriers,” mentioned Taneja. Interestingly,what spurred the need to get international accreditation,was the growing number of students,specially from Punjab,who were looking at global beauty careers. “The beauty business is booming and the coming years will see a demand for professionals,” said Taneja,who is also looking to set up her academy in Chandigarh now. To address hopefuls and guide them in appropriate beauty careers,Taneja and her team would be present at the forthcoming Education Fair to be held at Hotel Shivalik View,Chandigarh on May 28 and 29.
