It’s a fertile ground of hope for many wannabe parents. Leading infertility clinicians Dr Hrishikesh Pai,Dr Nandita Palshetkar and Dr Rishma Pai are heading the centre,we have so many patients from this region consulting us in Mumbai,so we thought of bringing the best available facility and technology to them here,having recently set up one in Delhi too IVF, Dr Rishma adds how they strive to be the best in the field,regularly travelling to various countries to keep in touch with the latest in technology and treatment facilities. Growing infertility rates,add the docs can be attributed to various factors bad lifestyle,diseases,late marriages,medical problems,but new breakthroughs in IVF treatments have increased the success rate of conception to almost 50 per cent. My advice is to make the most of modern science. If after two years of trying for a baby there is no result,get yourself checked and have at least one child before 35, Dr Nandita adds that new IVF treatments are less painful,less expensive,and not so much a physical and mental drain on women. Regular counselling is an integral part of the treatment,and there is constant upgradation in the field. We will introduce surrogacy,laser hatching,egg,sperm and embryo donation and egg freezing for those who want to postpone child bearing. Fifty per cent of infertility is the male factor and were happy to see that men are now open to treatment like sperm injections. The joy of helping someone have a baby is amazing and we love each moment of our job, adds Dr Rishma.
