Auto dealers booked in cheating case
The police have booked the managing director,general manager and a sales executive of an automobile showroom in Zirakpur in a cheating case. A resident of Phase X,Jagdeepak Singh Bedi,has accused the automobile dealer of cheating him in a car sale deal,the police said on Friday. In a complaint to the police,Bedi submitted he paid over Rs 6 lakh as draft for a Maruti Swift Dzire car,and was promised delivery by September 26,2009. “The dealer sold my car to somebody else and did not get my money back,” he alleged. The trio have been booked under Sections 420 (cheating),406 (breach of trust) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.

Man found dead
A worker at liquor vend in Balongi village was found dead under mysterious circumstances late Thursday night,the police said on Friday. The body has been identified as that of Karnail Singh (30). Singh,a native of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh,was an alcoholic and the police suspect that could be the cause for his death.
